The third weekend in May marks the unofficial start to summer in Canada. Across the country cities empty as urbanites flock to fill campgrounds and to open up their summer cabins. It’s been a cold and dreary spring on the West coast and I had the foresight to reserve an AirBnB rental for a long weekend escape to Summerland, in British Columbia’s Wine Country.
The to-do list was pretty simple:
- cycle the Kettle Valley Railway near Naramata
- spend some time at the beach
- visit a Farmer’s Market
- find a hike (an easy one, no thanks to a sprained ankle…)
- visit wineries
- relax & unwind
Enjoy the visual journal of our weekend away!
